I'm Not Buying A-Rod's Hip Injury

Am I the only person around who thinks that its very suspicious that A-Rod all of a sudden has a serious hip injury after not missing any substantial periods of time in his career due to his hip? And we heard nothing of this hip injury during the offseason but now just weeks after A-Rod is outted for steroid use this injury has popped up and may cause A-Rod to miss substantial time this season? And we learned of this injury not from the Yankees front office or even A-Rod's agent Scott Boras. We learned of this injury from A-Rod's brother who I guess has become his unofficial spokesperson now. Is it out of the realm to think that A-Rod wants to lay low for a while and doesn't want to face the bright glare from the media if he gets off to a tough start this season? The pressure on him will be enormous and if he doesn't deliver the fans and media in New York will be ruthless. A-Rod has a history of wilting under pressure. (See his late season/October production). Is it out of the realm to think that A-Rod is still using performance enhancing drugs and wants to give himself plenty of time to get any illegal drugs out of his system before he may be tested again? Remember there's still no test for HGH so if A-Rod or anyone else is using HGH it can't be detected. I'd love to know if MLB told A-Rod they'd be testing him regularly when they met with him last Sunday. I'm sorry but I am very skeptical when it comes to A-Rod's hip injury. Its not like he had a collision in a game that jarred his hip. Its not like he was in a car accident that damaged his hip. This injury has seemingly come out of nowhere and I am very curious as to why this injury is just being revealed now.......mere weeks after the pedals have all fallen off of A-Rod's rose. And less than a month away from the start of the regular season. Just as the Yankees move into their new $1 Billion stadium. And A-Rod was supposed to be the centerpiece of the Yankees roster and marketing efforts for the next 9 years. And the eventual clean" home run king. I'm sorry but I've been around the block a few times and I am just not buying A-Rod's hip injury. I think there's a lot more than meets the eye here.       "
