Paul Allen Still the Wealthiest Owner in Pro Team Sports

Two of my favorite companies, Apple and Nike, top Fortune's recent list of most innovative companies. Check out the complete list here.

Forbes also has a list out this week. The magazine unveiled their list of wealthiest people in the world.

Paul Allen is still the wealthiest owner in American team sports. The owner of the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA), Seattle Seahawks (NFL) and Seattle MLS has a combined worth of $16B, good for a tie for 41st place amongst the world's wealthiest people. I sat down for this conversation with Allen last June on Sports Business Radio.

To view the complete list of the world's wealthiest people, now topped by Alex Rodriguez and LeBron James confidant Warren Buffett, who broke Bill Gates' streak of 13-straight years at the top of the list, click here.

Roman Abromovich owns giant soccer club Chelsea FC and he sits 15th on this list.

He is Russian and owns and English soccer club so maybe your post is supposed to reflect the richest owner in american team sports?
