Obama Utilizes Technology for Those Attending Acceptance Speech at Invesco Field

I am in Denver doing a PR project for a company involved with the Democratic National Convention (when I am not hosting SBR, I assist individuals and corporations with their dealings with the media). Today I saw the tickets for Barack Obama's big acceptance speech on Thursday evening at Invesco Field - home of the Denver Broncos. Over 75,000 people are expected to pack the stadium to hear Obama accept the Democratic nomination for President.
Its been widely reported that Obama is really the first Presidential candidate to embrace the world of technology. And in the process he's secured valuable contact information for his legions of supporters.
So utilizing technology for those wanting to attend Thursday's acceptance speech at Invesco Field shouldn't surprise us. If you are one of the lucky people to have a hologram ticket featuring Obama for Thursday night, securing your physical ticket is only step one.
Once you have your ticket, you then need to go online to register for Thursday night's event (this will allow Obama's campaign to add tens of thousands of additional names to his already robust database). Then when you arrive at Invesco Field on Thursday, you will be required to show your ID to gain admittance.
So, if you don't have a physical ticket, if you haven't registered online and then if you don't show ID that matches your ticket and your registration, you won't be getting in.
If anyone tries to give you a ticket to see Obama on Thursday, before you get too excited, make sure that the ticket you are given hasn't already been registered. If it has been, despite the fact that you may have a physical ticket, you won't be getting in.
Other notes from Denver, site of the DNC: I've never seen more protesters in one place in my life............and I live in Portland where protesting is an every day occurance. But the police are out in full force. 14,000 additional police have been brought in to Denver this week for security purposes. And most of the police are driving around in environmentally friendly hybrid cars.
By comparison, 4,000 additional police are being brought in to Minneapolis for the Republican National Convention.
Lots of stars are in Denver this week too - George Clooney, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, Oprah Winfrey and Darryl Hannah (who I saw in person today) just to name a few.
Over 18,000 media have been credentialed for the DNC.
And the last thing I'll report on is the Obama merchandise sales. I wish I had 1% of the cut of the merchandise sales for Obama. The guy is like a rock star and sells merchandise like Jordan, Tiger and Ichiro combined (well maybe not that much merchandise, but I'm seeing Obama merchandise everywhere).

TALK IS CHEAP ...
CHARACTER COMPARISONS ...
Lofty speeches are great ... but actons
speak louder than words !!!
In addition to 20+ more years of service and
experience in the U.S. senate than the other
candidate ...
One candidate, John McCain watched his fellow
prisoner's backs, at great cost to himself. After
3 years as a tortured P.O.W. in Vietnam, he was
offered early release by the enemy. But, since it
would have been dishonorable to get released
before his fellow prisoners, he refused, which
resulted in 2 1/2 additional years of torture and
captivity.
The other candidate, Barack Obama threw his
self proclaimed friend, spiritual advisor, and mentor
of 20 years, under the bus for political expediency and gain.
To vote for Obama, after learning these differences ...
will say as much about your character, as it does about
the character of the two candidates.
