Garber has overseen a period of tremendous growth with franchise values skyrocketing from $10M in 2005 to over $40M today. He's also overseen the construction of soccer-specific stadiums that seat 18,000-27,000 people - over half of the teams in the league play in stadiums built for soccer.

From Oscar De La Hoya to Drew Carey to Paul Allen, the league has attracted a variety of stable ownership groups.

Seven cities are vying for two expansion spots in the league.
