Big 12 Has It All Wrong

This is why I hate the BCS. The Texas Longhorns beat the Oklahoma Sooners earlier this season. The Longhorns have played one of the toughest schedules in the country. Their only loss came in the final seconds at Texas Tech.
But the genuises at the BCS have Oklahoma ranked higher than Texas and Oklahoma will now face Missouri (20th in the latest BCS rankings) for the Big 12 Championship this weekend with an automatic BCS berth at stake. Missouri won the Big 12 North division and Oklahoma, tied with Texas and Texas Tech in the Big 12 South division gets in because the bozos with the Big 12 conference revert to highest BCS ranking when deciding a tie breaker rather than head to head results. So because Oklahoma leap frogged Texas in the BCS standings today, they will play Missouri (nowhere near the team Texas or even Texas Tech is) for the Big 12 title - even though the Sooners lost to Texas this season.
If Missouri were to beat Oklahoma, there is a chance that Texas will face the Florida - Alabama winner for the national championship, despite the fact that the Longhorns were excluded from playing for their own conference championship.
Now is that ridiculous or what?!
Unfortunately the BCS won't change any time soon, but at the very least the Big 12 needs to change its tiebreaker rule so head to head results trump anything else.
